"MÚSICA PALAZZO" - LIVE OPERA SEASON TWO 2017
Following on from the success of season one in 2016, iconic hotel Palazzo Versace Gold Coast is thrilled to launch the highly-anticipated second season of “Música Palazzo” this March.
“Música Palazzo” features a series of spectacular live operatic performances featuring Opera Queensland’s most talented artists, and will take centre stage at the hotel’s grand lobby on the first Friday of the month from March 3rd until December 1st, 2017.
Celebrating the beauty of the operatic art form, “Música Palazzo” was inspired by the late Gianni Versace’s passion for the arts, which the team at Palazzo Versace Gold Coast have continued to embraced in their entertainment culture and vision for the hotel. “Opera is engrained in our brand’s DNA as the late Gianni Versace was an opera costume designer when he first started his career. We adore the art form and cannot wait to showcase Opera Queensland’s most talented artists throughout 2017”, said Claire Huang, General Manager at Palazzo Versace Gold Coast.
Favourite Opera Queensland baritone Jason Barry-Smith is set to headline the first performance of the series with renown operatic accompanist, Head of Music Narelle French on Palazzo Versace’s baby grand piano.
Palazzo Versace Gold Coast’s expert culinary team have designed menus inspired by the Mediterranean in celebration of Opera’s Italian heritage.
Il Barocco’s “Flavours of the Mediterranean” seafood buffet will showcase an indulgent array of the freshest quality seafood, an extensive antipasti selection, mouth-tingling hot dishes, crisp salads, tantalising sides and decadent desserts complemented with a selection of Mediterranean wines.
